Hatchimals birthday for the twins Anabella & Antonella. Event planning: @ paolaandinowp Balloons and cart: @blissballoonshn.

Enemy, meet lover.

Nice to meet you. I'm Beau Bliss, and I don't just throw parties at the resort I own with my brothers: I am the party.

...right up until the event that will go down as Disaster of the Year.

Now we're playing defense, and I'm playing it hardest of all. Damage control has arrived in the form of prim, proper, uptight Claire Cashmore...and she's ready toEnemy, meet lover.

Now we're playing defense, and I'm playing it hardest of all. Damage control has arrived in the form of prim, proper, uptight Claire Cashmore...and she's ready to shut it all down.

If I want to keep my job, I have to charm her.
Claire is determined not to be charmed.

If I want to win her over, I'm going to need more than my signature cocktail. A lot more.

With time running out, I have to pull out all the stops.
Even the ones I'd rather keep firmly between the sheets....more

Bliss Cruise RCI Oasis of the Seas

Party planning for twins is bliss

RCI Oasis of the Seas Bliss Cruise
* November 14 - 21, 2021

Change how you stay, play and unwind during our Bliss Cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. Each day and night brings something new to do, see and explore in one of the seven distinct "neighborhoods" throughout the ship. The themed neighborhoods includes Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone (this will be a ghost town since NO kids allowed on this cruise).

The Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas holds over 5,400 passengers. This 7-night clothing-optional adventure will be for couples only and departs from the Fort Lauderdale, FL with stops in St Kitts, St Thomas and CocoCay.

Reserve your spot now on this incredible vessel and be part of the BLISS experience.

RCI Oasis of the Seas * November 14 - 21, 2021

Enjoy a wonderful scroll through the lush, open-air, tropical gardens of Central Park. The Boardwalk was inspired by seaside piers and features the high diving entertainment of the Aqua Theater. Connect with your fellow cruisers on the cruise line's signature Royal Promenade. Raise your glass for a toast in the Rising Tide Bar that slowly moves between the Royal Promenade on deck five and Central Park on deck eight. Looking for a thrill? Enjoy the first zip line at sea suspended nine decks high above the Boardwalk in the Pool and Sports Zone. If the zip line is not for you, relax in the sun by one of several pools and whirlpools, grab a board and go surfing or play a round of mini-golf. Need to sooth your mind, body and soul or maybe you just can't miss your workout? The Vitality at Sea Spa & Fitness Center is where you want to be. Once the sun goes down, the Entertainment Place is the life of the ship after dark. This neighborhood offers soulful sounds of Jazz, side splitting laughter at the comedy club and music to dance the night away at Blaze nightclub.

Finally, Bliss Cruise adds our naughty touch to enhance your cruising experience with the following:
• Adults 21 or older only which means...NO kids allowed!
• Open decks and pool areas are clothing optional.
• Clothing optional shore excursions.
• Meet & Greets to help you break the ice and meet new people.
• Seminars that educate and allow you to explore new areas of the lifestyle.
• Multiple play areas to meet your level of comfort and interest.
• Evening entertainment and late night dance parties in various venues.
• Themed nights to add a little extra fun to dressing up & heading out for the night.

Map your path so you can be sure to explore all that the RCI Oasis of the Seas has to offer!

Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis

With dormant volcanoes, golden sand beaches and gorgeous green hills, St. Kitts is a beautiful backdrop to your Caribbean adventure. Discovered in 1623 by the British and settled by the French in 1625, the island's deep colonial history is reflected in the abandoned fortresses, as well as its landscaped gardens, city squares and architectural details.

Things To Do:

  • Whether you're a history buff or just want to take in the scenery, be sure to visit the 350-year-old estate, Romney Manor, with its magnificent gardens, exotic plants and an amazing African Saman tree.
  • Explore Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park. Climb to the top of the main hill to take in amazing views of St. Eustatius and Sandy Point Town.
  • There are a number of ways to get around the island and enjoy all that it has to offer. Choose from hiking, horseback riding, segway, ATV, catamaran and so much more.
  • Spend the day snorkeling or swimming in the turquoise-blue Caribbean waters. Or take a trip to nearby Nevis, St. Kitts sister island.
  • Get a taste of the local flavor with all sorts of culinary delights stemming from West Indian, Creole, Indian, and French cultures.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

While the beaches and ocean are beautiful, there is one thing that really sets St. Thomas apart - shopping. Browse through the shop-lined streets of Charlotte Amalie and find out why St. Thomas is called the "duty-free shopping capital of the world." Beyond the glitz of its famous shopping district, St. Thomas enchants with a fascinating history and natural scenery. Explore the island's diverse heritage in Charlotte Amalie, or splash your way around at vibrant reefs or relax on a gorgeous beach.

Fun Activities:

  • Take a ride on Skyline Drive and enjoy a breathtaking view of St. Thomas Harbor.
  • Check out Coral World Marine Park, where you can touch sea stars at the touch pool or explore the mystery of life in a mangrove lagoon off the Coastal Trail.
  • Take a tour of key island landmarks to view the lovely vistas, enjoy spectacular shopping and explore the stunning Magen's Bay Beach.
  • No diving experience is required for a guided underwater exploration off St. Thomas with The BOSS - a Breathing Observation Submersible Scooter.
  • Blast out of the water and soar like Ironman on a flyboard.

Perfect Day at CocoCay

CocoCay is an exclusive 140-acre private island playground, just for us. Whether you like snorkeling, horseback riding, jet skiing or just lounging on the beautiful white sandy beach, this island is a Caribbean oasis, just waiting for you to explore. Enjoy a Perfect Day at CocoCay!

Fun Activities:

  • Grab a mask and snorkel and explore a mesmerizing underwater world of stingrays, tropical reefs and sunken wrecks.
  • Catch full throttle thrills as you race along Great Stirrup Cay Lighthouse and Starfish Alley on a waverunner.
  • Unwind in style for the ultimate beach day. Soak up the sun, feel the ocean breeze and watch the waves gently roll in from your own private day bed, beach bungalow, or ocean view cabana.

Cruise Themes

You just can't have a lifestyle cruise without having a theme for each night! Let your imagination run wild when planning your costumes. It is not required that you dress in theme but it can add some extra fun to the evening!

The themes have not been announced yet for this cruise but once they are we will be sure to post them.

Cabins & Rates

The cost of the cabin includes all meals with basic drinks such as water, coffee and tea. You also have access to all seminars, events, parties and entertainment. There will be an additional fee added to your invoice which covers the port charges, government taxes, basic gratuities, admin fees and security fees. These fees will be as follows:

Oasis of the Seas features an array of breathtaking cabins. There are four main categories of staterooms: Suites, Balcony, Ocean View and Interior. Keep in mind that even the most desirable suites and cabins aren't necessarily private. Many of the Crown Loft Suites directly overlook one of the busiest outdoor spots onboard (the basketball court and FlowRider areas) so passengers there can see onto the Crown Loft balconies. Rock climbers pass right by the balconies of the AquaTheater suites. People in Central Park and Boardwalk cabins can see into the rooms across the way. Each stateroom offers a television, small sitting area, private bath w/ shower, vanity and even a hair-dryer. The larger cabins come with more perks and make a great place for private entertainment.

Suites

The suite experience on Oasis of the Seas comes with a multitude of perks and a dedicated restaurant, making it one of the best suite offerings at sea. Suites offer more room, comfort and luxury. Most come with a private balcony, tub and all include standard features. Some suites even include complimentary concierge service, access to a private lounge, access to a private sun deck with loungers and cabanas and personalized service to help with making reservations or other arrangements. Suites are a great way to travel in style and give you that extra space for entertaining.

Carrie Underwood and husband celebrate nine years of wedded bliss in affectionate Instagram posts

Party planning for twins is bliss

Time flies when you're in love, according to Carrie Underwood's beloved.

In a sweet social media post made by Mike Fisher to his wife on Wednesday, the former NHL Nashville Predator said he was 'grateful' to be on this journey with her.

'9 years feels like 9 minutes!!!!' Fisher exclaimed in the caption alongside a shot of the smiling pair.

'9 years feels like 9 minutes!': Mike Fisher shared a sweet post on Instagram in honor of his and Carrie Underwood's ninth wedding anniversary

She loves her cowboy: Underwood responded in kind with a series of selfies on horseback that reveal how they spent the morning of their special day

'Grateful to be on this journey with you @carrieunderwood !! Time sure does fly #datenight #happyanniversary' the 39-year-old retired ice hockey center concluded.

As for Underwood, 36, she also posted a sweet testament on their anniversary, sharing a collage of four photos on horseback.

Her husband Fisher is visible in the background of two of the snaps.

'Spent my morning with my cowboy and our horses!' the country performer wrote, along with a cowboy, horse and smiley emoji and the hashtag #TooManySelfies.

Date night for the happy couple: Underwood and Fisher, seen here posing for a selfie on his Instagram at the Country Music Television awards in early June, have two young sons

The Inside Your Heaven singer recently wrapped a six-date stint in the United Kingdom, as part of her larger Cry Pretty tour.

Earlier this year, Carrie gave birth to the couple's second baby boy Jacob, now five months old.

Their first son, named Isaiah, was born in the spring of 2015.

Underwood recently revealed how she suffered three miscarriages before having her second child, saying she will 'always mourn' those losses.

An emotional journey: Underwood, seen here over the weekend during a BBC appearance, recently revealed how she suffered three miscarriages before having her second child, saying she will 'always mourn' those losses

Jacob, however, is a healthy baby, and the star and her husband have been enjoying their time as parents once again on Instagram, posting a video last month of the tot.

In the post, Jacob is seen cooing, then crying, then cooing once more in response to his parents serenading him.

HOW TO PLAN A PARTY: AWESOME BIRTHDAY BASH

Birthday parties are exciting events, but planning them can often be stressful. So today I’m sharing some awesome ideas on how to plan a birthday party. In advance, I must state that when I’m planning a birthday party for kids, these events involve elaborate themes and organized activities. I’m very comfortable with throwing large parties of 50 plus guests. But parties of any size and budget are fun, festive, and need not break the bank. Don’t feel pressured to go large-scale or fancy if that doesn’t fit your own comfort zone and style. My advice is to take away the ideas and tips you find useful, and just leave the rest. So ready…set…go! Here’s how to plan a birthday party with style.

SET A BUDGET

First things first! Party planning should begin with setting a proper budget. Keep in mind that there may be some last-minute unplanned expenses, so all party budgets should have a bit of wiggle room.

SELECT A DATE AND TIME

For the highest rate of guest attendance, Saturdays are the best time to throw a birthday party. When deciding on the time for your event, consider whether or not you want to serve a full meal (lunch or dinner), or just snacks like fruit and popcorn, drinks and desserts. If your party begins between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m, guests will assume that lunch will be provided. If your party begins around dinner time or extends into the dinner hour, plan on serving your guests dinner.

DEVELOP A GUEST LIST

How many guests would you like to invite? The total number of guests you invite should be a manageable number so that everyone – including you as the host – can have a great time. Expect that 85% of the guests you invite to the party will be able to attend the event. But only 60% of your guests will RSVP.

When planning a birthday party for a young child, the general guideline for party planning is to invite as many children as as your child’s age plus one more. If the birthday child will be turning age 4, invite 5 children to the birthday party. But for me, I tossed that number out the window! Here’s my party philosophy: The more the merrier.

Something you’ll want to keep in mind when planning a child’s party is that many parents will want to stay at the party with their child. Whether they want to linger to supervise their child or just stay and get chatty with other parents, accommodating these extra guests will require extra space as well as extra food, drinks, cake, and paper products. And then comes the really tricky part. Whether or not you expect it, some parents may actually bring or drop off uninvited siblings. I know, this sounds rude and hard to believe, but seriously it DOES happen. If this situation is not something you’re okay with, or if it will result in going over budget, especially in the case of costly activities, I highly recommend including wording such as “sorry, no siblings please” in the RSVP section of the birthday invitation.

CHOOSE A LOCATION

Will the birthday party be held at your home? Will the event be indoors or outdoors? How large of a venue will you need for the number of guests you are planning to invite? If the birthday party will be held at a place other than your home, for activity venues call in advance to see how much the cost is per person, or the same in the case of a rented room or party hall. Right away you’ll discover whether or not this is a viable option in terms of your budget.

If you’re planning to hold the birthday party at a public park or a neighborhood community center, call the city in advance to check on availability and the cost of a permit. We’ve unfortunately seen birthday parties derailed at a park when one family settles into a prime area, decorates it and sets up a beautiful party only to discover mid-event that the area was reserved and paid for by another party who has a use permit.

BIRTHDAY PARTY THEMES

The next step in party planning is to select a fabulous birthday party theme. This is really fun to do and generates anticipation and excitement for the upcoming event. A a collection of the hottest birthday party themes for babies and toddlers, children, teens, and adults are covered in depth on our birthday party themes page. Put your own unique spin on whichever party theme you choose and let your imagination flow.

BIRTHDAY PARTY INVITATIONS

Lovely invites will set the tone and theme for your birthday party celebration. I love selecting gorgeous, adorable party invites. Tiny Prints Personalized Birthday Party Invitation options are fabulous. This company produces such beautiful little treasures! And here’s something that I love just as much: when you place an order with Tiny Prints you have the option of a free custom website to collect RSVPs for your event, invite additional guests and more: Free online RSVP service from Tiny Prints. Now how fabulous is that?

FOOD & DRINK MENU

Food and drinks can easily eat up the largest portion of your party budget. If you’re a member of a big box store like Costco or Sam’s Club, I advise that you head on over and price out all food and drink items that will be needed from top to bottom. Factor in the cost of bags of ice that will be a last-minute purchase on the day of the party. Select foods that can be prepared the day before or can be easily put together the day of the big event.

THE DESSERT TABLE

Let’s talk cake! If you have your heart set on a fancy dessert table as the main centerpiece of the party, or an awesome birthday cake that you saw on Pinterest, start contacting bakeries now to find out exactly how much the cake and bakery items will cost and how far in advance they must be ordered.

Specialty cakes, cookies and treats are stunningly gorgeous. The crowning area of a birthday party bash is usually the dessert table with beautifully staged items to include the birthday cake on a lovely cake stand surrounded by tiny bite-size desserts, cookies and treats. These baked goods are artfully arranged to include beautiful birthday party decorations and paper products that enhance the birthday party theme.

BIRTHDAY PARTY ACTIVITIES

Research fun party activities that fit the birthday party theme. If there will be live entertainment such as a performer, face painter, jump house, clown or magician, be sure to book this out several weeks in advance. Plan to have a few different activity stations set up to keep everyone entertained. For a kids birthday party, the various stations should be spread out from one another and manned by an adult.

Purchase all items for the various party activities at least two weeks in advance to make sure you have everything together and important pieces are not back ordered. When the main activity is a craft, keep in mind the age of the birthday child and guests, the average attention span and skill level, and determine how much adult help will be needed. In advance, contact a few family members and friends to round up a good group of helpers for the day of the big birthday bash.

BIRTHDAY PARTY RENTALS

Determine if you will need to rent or borrow any party supplies such as a jump house, chocolate fountain, popcorn machine, snow cone machine, bubble machine, chafing dishes, photo booth, or tables and chairs. For tables plan on enough to accommodate seated guests plus two tables for food, cutlery and paper products, one table for drinks and cups, and two tables that will serve as the beautiful centerpiece of the party. You will also need extra tables for birthday presents, party favors, and for activities such as arts and crafts. Make sure you have enough serving utensils and tongs for the food table.

BIRTHDAY PARTY SUPPLIES

Now that you’ve selected a birthday party theme and know how much food, drinks, cake, desserts and party rentals will cost, you have a good idea on how much is left in the budget for fun birthday party decorations, paper products, tablecloths, centerpieces and favors.

Shopping for unique and colorful birthday party supplies to fit a fun theme is my favorite part of party planning! Start off with a foundation of gorgeous basics from an online party supply house such as Sweet Lulu. Then continue to build on the birthday party theme by round things out with additional party supplies from your local dollar store, Target, Walmart, Jo-Ann Fabric, and Michaels. Beautiful party goods will tug at your heartstrings and dance in your dreams, but remember to keep your budget in check!

PARTY MUSIC & PLAYLIST

Develop a custom party playlist of fabulous tunes that will set the mood and keep the party going! If the party is outdoors, plan ahead for a sound system and speakers.

DAY OF THE BIG BIRTHDAY BASH!

If possible, start the set up a few hours in advance. However, if you will be preparing food dishes the day of the party, then get going first thing in the morning. If the party is at your home or a rented location, begin by putting on festive music. Then set up all the tables and chairs. Lay down the tablecloths and put out the centerpieces.

Ice down canned and bottled drinks two to three hours in advance. I like using big, deep colorful bins, but a large ice chest works well too. Keep all food items covered and at appropriate temperatures. I pull out my restaurant-sized chafing dishes and put ice in the larger deep-bottom trays. Any food items that need to stay cold are placed in small containers that are artfully set up on top of the ice. I then further surround each small container with more ice.

Go over your food serving plan with a helper to make sure everything happens on schedule. Don’t allow food and snack packages to be opened all at once. Make sure this is emphasized to those who are helping you. Start by putting out enough food and snack items to get the party started, then tuck away the remaining items beneath the table, away from view. Throughout the party, refill items on the food tables as needed. After the party’s over, all unopened packages (non-refrigerated items) can be returned to the store along with a receipt.

Before guests arrive take beautiful photos of the dessert table, activity tables and centerpieces. Then enlist two dependable friends to be in charge of taking thoughtful photos during the party. In advance let them know what party scenes are the most important to capture for lasting memories.

Let’s be honest. Hosting a party means a lot of rushing around and organizing this and that. No matter how perfect your party planning skills become, there is that little voice in your head reminding you that this or that needs to happen right now to keep things on schedule. And your guests get that. They’ve been in your shoes too. But be sure to take time to socialize and mingle with them. Birthday Parties fly by way to quickly, and you want to enjoy them!

REMEMBER TO WRITE THANK YOU NOTES!

After the presents are opened and party clean up has been completed, remember to send out thank you notes to all of your birthday party guests. And if the party was for a child, this is the perfect opportunity to teach them how to write a thank you note.
